Our mass letter-writing campaign for residents and owners telling officials they can't afford several hundred dollar increases in monthly rent/fees was successful!
Like other cities across America who opposed the mandate successfully we stood up to the law!

We invested in the financial stability and well-being of our owners and residents, recognizing that while sprinklers can save lives, retrofits were out of reach for many apartment residents and co-op/condo owners, at costs of $25k to $35k per unit, The government had to change the law, provide needed funding, reasonable alternatives, or allow us to opt out.
